Bermuda

Bermuda is a group of islands in the North Atlantic Ocean, east of North Carolina. Bermuda, a British crown colony, was first discovered by Juan de Bermudez, the Spanish mariner, in 1503. It was claimed by England in 1609, and by tourists ever since Victorian times. Bermuda is a chain of nearly 200 coral islands and islets off the coast of North Carolina, in mid-Atlantic. Pink coral creates the delicately-shaded sand of the islands, surrounded by brilliant blue-green waters and clothed in lovely and abundant subtropical flora. The small bays formed by the irregular coastline make for idyllic vacation locations.

  Bermuda Overview
Weather

Bermuda is maintained in a near-perpetual state of climatic grace by the Gulf Stream, flowing from the south between Bermuda and continental North America. It is semi-tropical, with two seasons: spring and summer! The rain falls mainly at night, and most heavily from August to October, sometimes followed by very high winds! Temperatures range from 14 degrees in January to 30 degrees in August.

What to Wear

Bring rain gear to cover lightweight cottons and linens, and slightly warmer clothing for the cooler months of "winter." More important is the social climate: on your various outings, dress casually or formally, as you would in England on similar occasions.
